Pancytopenia in cats: Update

Study supports regular proteinuria monitoring during masitinib treatment

A new study, published in the Journal of Small Animal Practice (JSAP), supports the use of weekly proteinuria monitoring during the first month of masitinib treatment for neoplasia. Furthermore, the study suggests that a urine protein: creatinine greater than 0.5 should prompt reassessment within one week

BSAVA announces Congress 2021 Clinical Abstract Award Winners

The BSAVA has announced joint winners for the Best Online Clinical Abstract Award for Congress 2021. Inigo Sanz-Gonzales, ECVIM cardiology resident in training at the University of Edinburgh, and Ditte Erika Leth Vasby, a senior veterinarian in companion animal general medicine and dermatology at the University of Copenhagen were selected as the Award’s joint winners, from more than 125 high calibre research submissions from around the world.

VMD Update on Special Imports Scheme (SIS)

JSAP’s impact on the rise

The BSAVA is delighted to announce that the 'impact factor' for the Journal of Small Animal Practice (JSAP) has risen to its highest ever level of 1.522. The latest figures from the Journal Citation ReportsTM, published by Clarivate, have seen JSAP’s impact factor rise by nearly 40%, and the total of times that JSAP articles were cited during 2020 increase by more than 35% to over 4,600.
