Animal Licensing Activities Regulations 2018 (England): Veterinary Resources

When the new animal activities licensing regulations came into force in England 2018 they placed a greater requirement on vets in private practice who had responsibilities for licensed premises, including breeding and boarding establishments, to become more involved in some of the related activities.

Animals to be formally recognised as sentient beings in domestic law

New regurgitation webinar for BSAVA library

The BSAVA has added a new webinar on regurgitation to its comprehensive webinar library, presented by Aarti Kathrani, Editor of the third edition of the BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Gastroenterology. New BSAVA President plans to build on virtual success

Dr Sheldon Middleton has been appointed President of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) for 2021/2022. He took over the role from Professor Ian Ramsey on 22 April 2021 and plans to use the successes of last month’s BSAVA Virtual Congress to help shape his Presidential year.

Success for BSAVA Virtual Congress 2021

BSAVA Virtual Congress took place on 25 – 27 March 2021, receiving more than 3,300 registrations from across the world. Delegates were immersed with over 80 live sessions and 130 hours of CPD from over 150 speakers.

Study confirms bacterial contamination of mobile phones and tablets in veterinary hospitals

1 April 2021

A new study, published in the latest issue of the Journal of Small Animal Practice (JSAP), found that 68% of portable electronic devices (PEDs) used by veterinary staff were contaminated with Staphylococci, including both vancomycin and oxacillin resistant strains.

BSAVA Publications hosts editor Q&A sessions
