COVID-19: Firebreak Lockdown in Wales

Study reveals differing electrolyte measurements between point-of-care and reference analysers in dogs with hypoadrenocorticism

A new study, published in the latest issue of the Journal of Small Animal Practice (JSAP), showed that there were inherent differences between the electrolyte concentrations measured by point-of-care analysers and reference laboratory methods in dogs with hypoadrenocorticism.

BSAVA Dispensing Course now online

In response to COVID-19 restrictions the BSAVA’s popular dispensing course will now be held online. The accessibility of the course coincides with the RCVS’s announcement this week that practice standards assessments are re-starting. The course will be held on Thursday 26 November 2020 and is suitable for all veterinary professionals.

BSAVA introduces virtual regional CPD

20 August 2020

A comprehensive programme of virtual regional CPD will be launched by the BSAVA next month. Regions Now, a series of 12 online events which have been organised by the BSAVA’s regional committees will run from September 2020 until March 2021. Each event will begin with a pre-recorded 1-hour introductory lecture, available up to a week before the main live session.
