French bulldog and Pug puppies top list of most illegally imported breeds

French bulldogs and Pugs top the list of dog breeds vets most commonly suspected of being imported illegally into the UK, statistics released by the British Veterinary Association (BVA) one year on from the launch of its #BreedtoBreathe campaign reveal. RCVS Mind Matters and BSAVA’s resilience course pilot proves successful

BSAVA Member Anna Meredith awarded OBE

The former head vet at Edinburgh Zoo and personal chair of Zoological and Conservation Medicine at the city’s Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies has been appointed an OBE in the Queen’s New Year 2019 Honours List. Anna is a longstanding member of the BSAVA and received the BSAVA’s Blaine Award in 2003 for outstanding contributions to the advancement of small animal veterinary medicine or surgery.
