PetSavers – PetSavers receives a welcome boost from the Debs Foundation

A generous £5,000 donation has been gifted to PetSavers by the Debs Foundation to support the 2018 Clinical Research Projects, awarded last month. The Debs Foundation charitable trust was set-up a year ago, in memory of veterinarian Debbie Gittleson. The Foundation’s aim is to support charities that reflect the causes Debbie believed in and advocated for, in particular those with an emphasis on animal welfare.

RCVS launch Edward Jenner Veterinary Leadership Programme

This programme is part of the wider RCVS Leadership Initiative, launched in April at BSAVA Congress in Birmingham, and inspired by the College’s joint Vet Futures project with the British Veterinary Association (BVA). BSAVA launches crèche for Congress 2019

13 November 2018

BSAVA Congress will introduce a crèche at its 2019 Congress, ensuring all vets and nurses can focus on access to more than 450 hours of world-leading CPD. BSAVA has chosen award-winning childcare experts Nipperbout to run the crèche facility for children aged 0 - 8 years, helping parents to explore a wide range of lectures, practical sessions and abstract presentations at the largest event in Europe dedicated to the provision of small animal veterinary CPD.

FECAVA Travel Scholarship now open

9 November 2018

The FECAVA Travel Scholarship gives two groups of small animal veterinary surgeons from Europe the opportunity to visit each other for a few days, observing practice life and participating in a joint Continuing Education event. Members from FECAVA registered countries can apply for the €2,000 scholarship.
