RCVS news: VNs reminded to complete registration before end of 2017

Animal Welfare Network Wales initiative aims to make allies of pet owners, dogs and livestock across rural Wales

A host of animal welfare organisations are uniting to deliver a new initiative aiming to keep pet owners, dogs and livestock safe in the countryside. The two-day 'Animals, Land & You' (A.L.Y.) event will take place at the Royal Welsh Show's Winter Fair, on Monday 27 November & Tuesday 28 November, aiming to help "pet owners, dogs, livestock and other animals live harmoniously alongside one another".

Bella Moss Foundation and NOAH join forces to #BeattheBugs this World Antibiotic Awareness Week

FECAVA Travel Scholarship now open for applications

The initiative allows two groups of small animal veterinary surgeons from different parts of Europe, to visit each other for a few days to observe practice life and ideally participate in a joint Continuing Education event. Appeal for donations to Portugal forest fire relief fund

The following is news of an appeal from the Portuguese Small Animal Veterinary Association (APMVEAC) to help animals and their owners affected by dreadful fires in Portugal last month. BSAVA adds Emergency and Critical Care to free PDP Resource Bank

The first Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) learning resources have been added to a free online CPD bank run by the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA). New subject areas include emergency planning, traffic accidents, excessive bleeding, seizures, poisonings, choking and breathing problems, caesareans, GDV and abdominal emergencies, and pain assessment and management.
